The Path to Breakthrough Energy Technologies: A Grassroots Movement and New U.S. Legislation
Joel A. Garbon
This is a presentation by the President of The New Energy Movement (NEM), a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating the advent of a global economy and sustainable civilization based on clean energy.
Joel
Garbon, with the help of a team of dedicated colleagues, has quietly authored
an historic piece of draft legislation calling for serious and urgent federal
support for the research and development of advanced clean energy technologies.
If successfully implemented, a whole new era becomes possible for not just the
United States, but humanity at large. We can envision the possibilities of a world
of abundance and peace for all peoples, a vibrant and healthy global ecosystem,
a planet restored to balance and harmony. We have the opportunity to put our pressing
global problems
. including global warming, environmental degradation, resource
wars, and poverty
. in the rearview mirror.
Joel
is recently back from Washington DC after briefing members of our new Congress
on the state of new energy research and the unprecedented opportunity staring
us in the face. The proposed legislation provides the blueprint. Would our nation's
citizens be willing to invest less than $8 per person per year to launch the new
energy renaissance? Garbon and NEM proclaim a thunderous "YES!" Our
informed citizens understand the high stakes nature of this question for present
and future generations, and must act vigorously to impart the collective wisdom
to our policymakers. The people must lead NOW!
Come take an inside look at the promise of new energy technology and how you can help usher in a new energy revolution!
